August 16, 2004

Former THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick will be opening for THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND and LYNYRD SKYNYRD at four shows in Texas and Oklahoma in early October. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Oct. 06 - Oklahoma City, OK - Zoo Amphitheatre
Oct. 08 - Dallas, TX - Smirnoff Music Centre
Oct. 09 - Houston, TX - Woodlands Pavilion
Oct. 10 - San Antonio, TX - Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre

As previously reported, Warwick has finished writing 25 songs for his second solo album, which he intends to record between tours, according to a posting on his web site. Recording is due to begin later this year, with DEF LEPPARD frontman Joe Elliott once again producing the effort. The follow-up to 2002's "Tattoos and Alibis" is tentatively due in 2005. Warwick issued an "official bootleg" album, comprising live and demo tracks, in early 2004, making this product available at gigs and on the Internet. The record opened with a cover of the RAMONES' "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend".
